Each July in Beluga, Alaska the
Silver Salmon enter the mouth of
the Chuitna River. Many
claim the magnificent Silver
Salmon to be the greatest sport
fish of all. The Chuitna
River's Silvers average between
8 and 14 pounds with trophy fish
well over 20 pounds. The
months of July and August offer
some of the most exciting Silver
Salmon fishing on the face of
the earth. Pink or, Humpy
Salmon are also found in the
river at this time of year,
presenting a very unique
experience for those anglers who
come to visit. Red and Chum
Salmon are also available in the
multitude of streams and lakes
that are close to the lodge.
Dolly Varden and Rainbow Trout
readily take flies and lures on
the Chuitna and its tributaries. |
